Things really started to pick up over the summer and by the time Autumn got here I was booked for an event every weekend, which is great because I love to make art and see people happy. I think that once the winter comes and things start to slow down that I will focus more on making tangible art that I will post for sale in the store front. I just bought some “heavy body” acrylic paint and used it for the first time last night. I love the results and I just wish I would have started using more expensive paint years ago. I have tried all sorts of different paint from Hobby Lobby and Michael’s, even Dick Blick in Chicago had a huge selection and I tried all of those but this new paint blows them all out of the water. Along with the acrylic paint, I also bought a set of really expensive ink that I want to use to make watercolor like paintings. I love to paint with watercolor and these inks produce the same results but with a much more opaque and vibrant look to the colors. I guess that I just love to create art and I have a lot of fun doing it, so therefore I ‘m always looking for a way to make my art look better. I am a huge perfectionist and if I’m not happy with my art then I can’t expect anyone else be happy with it. Therefore I just need to keep practicing what I have been doing, keep pushing the boundaries and always look for new ways to do things to be a better painter. Most importantly I need to keep a positive outlook and know that with hard work and determination I’ll be the best I can be. I think that 2022 is going to be the best year yet!
